Happy New Year! Getting to talk to you was one of the few good things to come out of 2023 for me, so I'd like to thank you for making a crummy year a little better.
Thanks, I guess? I have a slightly poor sense of time.
Merry Christmas ^-^
Same to you. Anything new in the world of circular shapes?
Nothing really. This month has been rough, so I haven't been able to do much.
Can you give me some beginner tips?
I want to write something new.
Honestly, giving this sort of advice isn't really something I'm good at... but I'll try.
Maybe this will be good advice for you: have an idea of what sort of story you're trying to write (genre, mood, etc.), and plan out the plot accordingly. When Max and I wrote about Nea, we both wrote our favorite types of scene from the hero genre: he wrote about a hero swooping in to save the day, and I wrote about a hero captured and at a villain's mercy. Compare that to your story about Nea, which felt like an awkwardly-thrown-together showcase of her abilities and little more.
