Before long, Kaitlin and Leon had cleaned themselves off and acquired their tickets to see Dinah Swann's famous dance.  The show wasn't due to start for another hour or two, but they had plans for that time.

The backstage corridors were unguarded, so the cobra and wolf had little trouble navigating through them and finding the door marked "D. SWANN".  Wanting to be polite, Kaitlin stepped up and knocked on the door.

"Just a moment!" a female voice called from behind the door.  "I'm working on my makeup!  I'll open the door when I'm done!"

A few minutes passed, after which the door clicked open and a swan's head with bright green eyes peered out.

"Oh... I thought you were my agent.  No matter, I've already opened the door, so I might as well let you in."

As Dinah Swann closed the door behind them, Kaitlin and Leon finally got a good look at the dancer.  They'd seen her poster in Hisspan's room, but she looked even more beautiful in color.

"So what is it that brings you two nobodies to my dressing room?" the swan inquired.

The twins introduced themselves once again as Martin and Jennifer, and explained that they'd bought tickets for her show and were greatly looking forwards to it.  They were about to ask for their autograph when Dinah happened to look Leon directly in the eyes.  Instantly her eyes widened, as though she'd seen a ghost.

Kaitlin blinked.  "Er... Dinah?  Are you..."

"V-V-V-VAMPIRE!"

It took a moment for the cobra to realize that Dinah was referring to Leon.  Admittedly, with his green fur, black reptilian eyes, and prominent fangs, he didn't exactly look like a normal wolf.

"GET HIM AWAY FROM ME!  BOTH OF YOU, GET OUT!"

Dinah all but shoved Kaitlin and Leon out into the hallway, slamming the door behind them.

"That didn't go so well," Leon muttered.  "You think she's afraid of me?"

"Yeah, that's about the impression I... shush.  I can hear her talking."

Confused, Leon shut up as Kaitlin listened to what the swan was saying.  She seemed to be talking to herself.

"...and he'll be in the audience, too!  I can't put on my show with a vampire in the audience!  I'll never be able to hold it together!  Oh, I'm ruined!  But I can't cancel the show on such short notice!  I've got to talk to my agent..."

Around then a staff member passed by, forcing Kaitlin and Leon to duck into a supply closet to hide.

"We've completely demoralized her, Leon," the cobra whispered to her brother.  "And she was our Mum's role model; there's no way she'd be the same if we let this play out."

"Well, this was YOUR idea.  And nobody told me I looked like a vampire."

"That's not the point.  We've got to get her career back on track before we go home.  Her performance has to go off without a hitch."

"Roger that.  And I don't suppose you have any ideas for how we can do it?"
Part two, with one more to come (I think).  This time I tried DA's scheduling system.  With any luck, lizardman22 won't see this until after he's already read the first part.

Great job.
Leon the 'vampire'! I would never have thought of that, but as you explained, he doesn't look like a normal wolf.
I look forward to part 3, mate

I've never heard of one where it's bad luck to perform for a vampire.

Would you expect it to be good luck performing with someone likely to ambush you and drain your blood in the audience?

No, not really. When you put it that way, it doesn't sound like good luck.
