Family and associates:
Middle of three siblings.  Married to Tanjo Sosori (king cobra), the tribe's chieftain.  Has four children.

Appearance:
Pya has the typical Aganre build.  Her eyes are blue.  Her main body is solid black, but her underbelly is white, and her black areas are covered in large, chocolate brown blotches of varying shapes.  Two vertical stripes of the same brown cover the top of her head.

As the tribe's ambassador, she dresses a bit more fancily than a commoner would.  She wears a tribal headdress made of feathers dyed every color of the rainbow, arranged in chromatic order.  She also wears a white cloak that covers her down to about where her knees would be if she had legs.  Stenciled on the cloak in black is a silhouette of a snake biting its own tail in a clockwise fashion.

She has two sais (sai?).  Each one is polished silver with a leather grip, an octagonal shaft, and prongs positioned in a crescent shape.

Personality:
Above all else, Pya is kind-hearted.  She refuses to let her status as ambassador damage her humility, and will gladly chat with anyone.  She hates to see a frown on anyone's face, and will do her best to cheer people up should they need it.

She generally refuses to kill; mercy is a virtue for her.  She resolves conflicts in diplomatic or otherwise nonlethal ways whenever possible.  Even in combat, she prefers to knock out opponents or otherwise subdue them without killing them.

In her spare time, she likes to help out around the village.  When about to swallow someone for digestion and rebirth, she always makes it a point to reassure them that they aren't in as much danger as the situation suggests.

Abilities:
Besides the standard Aganre abilities, Pya has a naturally strong grip, being a constrictor species.  She is skilled with her sai weapons, knowing many forms of combat with them.  She is also trained as a medic, capable of treating multiple forms if illnesses and injuries; although her skill is a little worse than those of the tribe's current medics, it is still very potent.

History:
As a child, Pya had early exposure to the dangers of combat when she accidentally witnessed a nearly fatal victory in a Test of the Gods.  The losing party was almost killed, and his wounds were so severe he couldn't be bathed in the ceremonial stew before he was consumed by the winner.

For a long time Pya couldn't focus on her training due to her fear, but once she was made to see that what she'd seen was an unlikely extreme, she changed her mind.  She began studying the field of medicine, and chose the sai as her weapon when she came of age due to its potential as a nonlethal weapon.

She met her husband, Tanjo, during a Test of the Gods.  They both showed mercy towards one another, attempting to KO rather than wound.  The battle was a draw, and the two were married the following day.

When the chieftain retired, Tanjo and Pya were named the new chieftain and ambassador, due to Tanjo's fine decision-making skills and Pya's magnificent charisma.  That was about five years ago, and Pya has held the role graciously ever since.

Pya knows where Mandara can usually be found when he hides from the tribe, but pretends not to, knowing that he shouldn't be forced into social situations.
