"Say what you will about physical sports, but they only stimulate the mind in certain ways, and not all of us are born athletes.  The people of this town should not be confined to one or two possibilities when choosing a means of recreation.  That's why we opened the 4J Games Parlor." --Jim

Type of character: Cartoon 'verse (Lolocator's version)

Name: Jim
Age: Around 25
Gender: M
Race/species: Coyote (anthro)
Occupation: Owner and co-operator of 4J Games Parlor

Family and associates:
Has a one-year-younger sister named Jess, a two-years-younger brother named Jake, and a four-years-younger brother named Jerry who run the Parlor alongside him, but don't show their faces as often as he does (they typically work in the back rooms).  No other known relatives.  Maintains a healthy business rivalry with Lizzie and Abbe.

Appearance:
Main fur color is light brown.  Golden yellow eyes.  Analog watch with black band on left wrist; otherwise unclothed.  No other distinguishing features.

Personality:
Jim is easygoing.  He doesn't like sports and tries to encourage more intellectual pursuits, but won't outright prohibit anyone from doing what they enjoy.  He always plays fair, and hates people who don't.  He likes to catch people off guard by responding prematurely to things they were about to say or do.

Abilities:
Although not particularly athletic, Jim has a keen mind and a steady hand.  He seldom if ever loses a battle of wits, and has an uncanny ability to predict accurately what people are about to do, whether in-game or out.  Some say he has the ability to see into the future, but this is unproven.

He carries a shrink ray with him at all times, for the purpose of shrinking down customers who request it (usually for the purpose of being made into game pieces).

History:
When Jim and his siblings first set up the 4J Games Parlor in town, they got almost no business.  Not ones to fumble around trying things that didn't work, the coyotes investigated their competition to see what the issue was-- and they quickly found out about the town's obsession with cartoon transformation.

"Sure, I can roll with that," Jim said.  He got his hands on a shrink ray and some appropriate equipment and updated their advertising, and slowly business began to improve.  They're still a bit behind the sports center, but they're confident that they can catch up.

About the 4J Games Parlor:
The parlor Jim and his younger siblings run is your basic games parlor.  It features all sorts of classic board and card games.  Its logo features the four jacks from a card deck, with Jim, Jess, Jake, and Jerry posing in them (Spades, Hearts, Clubs, and Diamonds, respectively).  If you don't have anyone to play with, one of the coyotes will gladly be your opponent.

For an extra fee, a customer can be shrunken down and shaped into a game piece-- or flattened, cut up, and made into a deck of cards-- and used in a game; they have equipment in the back rooms for this purpose.  This service wasn't offered at the Parlor when it was first opened because Jim wasn't familiar with the town's culture yet.
So Lolocator proposed another trade.  This time we each had to create characters for one another, and he specified that my character be a rival to a character he already has.  I had a harder time than I should have deciding exactly how to fulfill that prompt!

When I've got a problem I'm not sure how to solve, I usually walk away from it for a while and go do something else.  Whether or not that actually helps can vary.  That probably explains a lot about me.
